Chinese As A Second Language (CSL)

The CSL teaching meterials web pages are provided and designed by Dr. Sam Suen.

This class introduces the fundamentals of the chinese language. It is designed to be taught in 6 semesters. The syllabus of the first 3 semesters are included here:

• Pinyin
  • The prevalent romanization system to help learn the pronunciation. It will be taught only in the first 5 hours or so. Click here to link to the Pinyin files
• Strokes
  • The 26 strokes to write all Chinese characters, just like the 26 letters in English. It will be taught in the first 5 hours. Click here to link to the Stroke files
• First Semeters Characters/Words

• First Semester Conversation
